OUR MISSION

IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT BREAST CANCER™
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer.  In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures.

The Philadelphia Affiliate is proud to take the lead in setting many standards for exemplary service.  Programs we helped make reality for the Delaware Valley serve as models of excellence for survivors and activists nationwide.  These include:
